Christ's Altar Whereon We Participate In His Sacrifice... The Very Center Of Our Parish Life Together "Word made flesh, true bread He maketh, By His Word His flesh to be; Wine, His Blood, when man partaketh, though his senses fail to see. Faith alone, when sight forsaketh, shows true hearts the mystery." St. Thomas Aquinas, c. AD 1263Welcome To St. Andrew's

Keeping The Faith
What We As Traditional Anglicans Believe
St. Andrew's is a Traditional & Orthodox Anglican Church. The worship of Almighty God is the primary mission of this parish. To adore the Blessed Trinity in fellowship with the Holy Angels, Patriarchs, Prophets and Saints is our greatest privilege. Everything else springs from this and is secondary to it. Our business is worship and our product is sanctity. How blessed we are to be called to enjoy this ministry!
St. Andrew's is a parish of the Anglican Province of Christ the King
(http://anglicanpck.org). We teach and preach none but the Catholic and Apostolic Faith, and strive to preserve the orthodox Doctrine, Discipline and Liturgy of the Church of the Ages as expressed in the Anglican Tradition. Our Province rejects attempts to distort Christianity to suit contemporary fashion, and remains loyal to the Faith of the Apostles, Nicene and Athanasian Creeds, as well as to the unchangeable Apostolic Ministry of male Bishops, Priests and Deacons. We are firmly grounded in this Faith, and withstand the ancient litmus test of faith formulated by St. Vincent de Lerins from the mid 5th century: "Quod ubique, quod semper, quod ab omnibus creditum est"; "We believe what has been believed everywhere, always, and by all." We have neither added to nor detracted from the Faith of the whole and undivided Church. The clergy of this Province hold valid and regular Anglican Holy Orders; the majority in their Apostolic lineage also hold valid Roman (Old Catholic) Holy Orders as well.
We worship and adore God with that decency and order that is commanded in Holy Scripture, holding the Eucharistic Sacrifice to be the central act of worship for all who are obedient to that Lord God Who instituted it as the Sacrifice for our redemption. Our liturgy is drawn from the very ancient, and we use what is expressed in the 1549 Book of Common Prayer, in the 1928 edition.
As the whole and undivided Church has always held, we continue to hold that every human being, from the moment of their conception is a creature and a child of God, made in His Image and Likeness; an infinitely precious soul, and that the unjustifiable taking of life is always a most sinful act with eternal consequences if repentance is lacking at the day of Judgement. We also uphold New Testament morality on the sanctity of Christian marriage between a man and a woman only.
As Traditional Catholics in the Anglican heritage we continue to be what we have always been since Christ's One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church was planted in the British Isles before the Emperor Constantine made Christianity a legal religion, c. A.D. 312 ~ long before the first Roman missionary bishop (Saint Augustine) sent by the Pope (St. Gregory the Great) arrived in A.D. 597, (Much to their surprise, we had already been on the Isles for centuries with our own Bishops and Cathedrals!) We do nothing new. We have formed no new body or denomination, but live, die and by the grace of God hope to rise as the sons and daughters of Christ the King.
